A Creole Proverb…
“Bondye do ou. Fe pa ou, M a fe pa M.”
”God says do your part and I’ll do mine.”
You may remember Edeline. She is a young lady that grew up in the Love A Child Orphanage. During her whole life she has lived with horrible Keloid tumors around her neck area.
It is so sad because she has never really been accepted into Haitian society because she looks “different” and is disfigured. This is bad enough, but now she is in terrible pain from these tumors and cannot move her neck from side to side.
To make matters worse, she has noticed that each month an area swells, becomes very painful and then opens to drain. In the photo below you can see where an area has opened to drain.
The place of swelling is not always in the same area. One month is may be on the left side and the next it may be on the right. She is in some degree of discomfort at all times. Now, Edeline cannot turn her neck from side to side because of these tumors.
We need to find HELP for this young lady. If anyone knows of a surgeon or hospital in the States that will help Edeline, PLEASE call our Love A Child office at 239-210-6107 as soon as possible. We want to get some relief for Edeline. We were trying to have this work done in Haiti, but have found out that the necessary equipment to perform this surgery is not here, and her only hope is to get to the United States. PLEASE, we need your help!
God bless you,
Bobby and Sherry
