The poor in Haiti have such a miserable life! It is always a choice between “food and healthcare.” For most Haitian mothers, they will not go to a clinic or see a doctor, because that money must be for food. As a result, many mothers have ill-health. When their babies are born, they have to choose a mid-wife from the mountains, who uses “superstition” and “old wives tales,” to deliver babies… making the mothers a drink that is so strong that it actually makes their heart beat faster… Sometimes, the mother or baby dies.

Even though we have so many people to care for, we are blessed with the Jesus Healing Center that provides free care to poor families, and our wonderful Birthing Center, that gives mothers “hope” and lets them feel they are “valuable.”

Our Jesus Healing Center Clinic is so crowded that it is difficult for everyone to be seen… But, we are building a new Jesus Healing Center, by faith!!! God bless all our wonderful partners, who are really the “Good Samaritans!”
