Word from the Mission Field – 10-21-15

“Be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 – Keep pressing on! Everything that you do for the Lord is for a reason. Never give up! God bless you! Bobby

Update on Lionel – 10-20-15

Lionel is one of the children at our Love A Child Children’s Home. He is pictured here with Barbara, our Medical Administrator of the Jesus Healing Center. Lionel was brought to us about two years ago by the Department of Social Services after his father had gotten mad at him and held his hand in boiling water! Lionel has had several surgeries already, but two of his fingers were still growing together. Barbara took him for another operation, and we are hopeful that this surgery will be his last one. Barbara does a wonderful job taking care of many patients who need “extra care.” Lionel has a loving home at our place in Haiti. Thank you Barbara for taking such great care of him! Bobby and Sherry

Love A Child Orphanage in Haiti - Update on Miliana

Miliana; 10-20-2015 3:00 PM

This young lady is named Miliana. We first found her when we were taping a TV program in the village of Madamn Bauje. She had been abused by her stepmother and had a horrible skin disease. She held her head down and would never make eye contact with anyone. After a lot of love, nutritious food, and a trip to the States, (where she stayed with a great host—Beth Nolan and her family) Miliana returned to Haiti doing much better. Today, she is in school at Love A Child, and living in our orphanage with a “real family” that loves her. Mother Theresa said, “Do something small, with great love.” Sherry

Word from the Mission Field – 10-20-15

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 – When we are unforgiving, it is like a disease to our spirit. It slowly eats away at us blocking the flow of God’s blessings in our lives. It does more harm to ourselves than to the person we are not willing to forgive. So just let go and forgive just like your heavenly father does. Be kind and tenderhearted, you’ll feel so much better. Sherry

Bobby and Sherry in the DR – 10-19-15

Sherry, Jesse Ostrander and I just landed about an hour ago here in the Dominican Republic. Carlos met us at the airport. David George flew in yesterday. Tomorrow morning, we will be looking at a piece of property in La Romana that may be a future project to bless the children of this area. Many are poor Haitian children living in the sugarcane camps. We will return to Haiti on Wednesday or Thursday. “Love is something you do!” Bobby

Lovely – 10-19-15

Lovely was brought to us when she was a baby. Her mom was HIV positive and Lovely was also diagnosed with the disease. We still have to take her to a special hospital for medicines that is four hours away each month, but she is in school, doing well, and is another “little miracle” that God has given us in Haiti. Word from the Mission Field – 10-19-15

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 – A good way to check your “love-walk level” is to check your “fear level.” Let’s all close the door on fear, and walk in love today! Sherry

Feeding the children: 10-18-2015 5:00 PM

Jesus is concerned about hungry children everywhere. You will never know what it is to look into the eyes of “hunger,” until you live in a country like Haiti. These particular children are really blessed because they are being fed by one of our partners, Chuck Martindale, with whom we share our food each month. But many poor children still eat from the garbage dumps of Haiti. Sherry
