He is our head pastor and doing great work. We help this church by sharing food with them each month, so that they can care for their widows and help the mothers of hungry children. We found Dieuferly with his mother and nine children in the mountains of Covant, Haiti about fifteen years ago. Dieuferly had club feet and malnutrition and he would have died if we had left him there. We had to carry him on a mule for many hours out of the village, and then, by four-wheel-drive for many more hours to reach a main road. He had several operations on each foot. He is now a young man with a bright future, who wants to be an “airport traffic controller.” (He is the one in the middle.) He is in Philo, which is his last year of high school in Haiti. Sherry

We are so thankful for one of our special partners Phyllis Grove of The Tabernacle. She sent adorable little pillowcase dresses for the poor children in Haiti. Kaeli Fletcher (pictured with the child) is one of our youngest Love A Child missionaries and is doing a great job! Also pictured is Denise Roberts, whose husband Pete is the “brain” behind our “Chicken Co-op,” one of our sustainability projects. We wish to thank Phyllis and her friends for all their hard work! “But He knoweth the way I take; when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10 – God knows everything about you and me. Even though He gives us the right to choose, He already knows which decision we will make. Isn’t it great to know that when he tries us as fire, we shall come forth as gold! If you are going through a trial today, God knows the end result. You will come out of the flames as gold! Sherry

This little cutie is Sandraline from the Croix des Bouquets area. Her mother died and her father tried to make enough money to care for Sandraline by repairing bicycles in Port-au-Prince. When Sandraline was about nine-months-old, she was extremely malnourished and very weak. Her father brought her to our Love A Child Orphanage because he was not able to provide for her. It took months, but today Sandraline is healthy, happy and looks like a “baby doll.” Thank you partners for changing another life in Haiti. God bless you, Bobby and Sherry

“Food Gives Hope” – When we share our food with many other missionaries, they have wonderful stories of “hope” to report back to us. This mother and her baby (Little Norine Jean) live far in the mountains of Foret de Pin (pine forest). She must bring her baby all the way to Port-au-Prince for her seizure medication. When they come in, our missionary partners (Karen at Coram Deo) give them food. As the Haitians say, “Hope makes us live!” Thank you partners! Bobby and Sherry

For the many children who live in Third World Countries such as Haiti, education and food work together. Feeding them is a blessing, but feeding them with education is the key. A Creole Proverb says, “A hungry sack cannot stand.” It cannot learn, either. We share nearly two “40-foot containers” of food each month with 73 missionary partners who also feed hungry children. International Faith Missions Haiti Project is just one of many missionary organizations that receives food from Love A Child. These children are from Pain de Sucre in Marre Roseau, Haiti.
