Children in the mountains of Haiti are in almost unreachable, “hard to get to” areas, and they suffer the most with hunger. We are thankful that we can partner with other missionaries like Lance Ware to help with their feeding programs. A Creole Proverb says, “Anpil patat fe chay.”  A lot of sweet potatoes make up the load!  That means, “Your sweet potatoes, no matter how many, will help make up the load to feed starving children here in Haiti.” If we all work together, we can make an impact on lives, one at a time. I know some of you wanted an update on the sinkhole at our house in Florida. Insurance will not cover the sinkhole. They must take the entire garage away from our house. Then they will have to dig up the cement slabs on the driveway, plus fill the hole with cement, and put the garage back in place.

Update on our generator in Haiti: Kohler charged us almost $5,000 for the repair, which we had to pay. As soon as they brought it back, it started doing the same thing. Now they must take the generator back in to repair. When the technicians came out yesterday they brought no tools!!  This is only the beginning of this horror story!  We have a backup generator, which I might add, burns twice as much diesel fuel as the Kohler generator. Thank the Lord when you can just flip on your light switch! We must live by big generators. Oh happy day! Bobby

The liberal heart and the stingy heart… “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him…” Proverbs 11:25-26 – God loves a giving, liberal heart. Even when you go to a restaurant, give 20% and bless the waitress. Leaving tips is a form of giving. If God tells you to give someone $20, don’t doubt it, give it. You may be the answer to someone’s prayer for help today. “Live to give!” Sherry

At the age of four, Jonise had malnutrition and weighed only about 26 pounds. She is now a beautiful young girl, who helps run our Love A Child accounting office, and does an excellent job. We just found out about a week ago that she is engaged. Wedding bells may be ringing in December! Sherry

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 – Today, don’t give up, be steadfast, unmovable and always working for the Lord. Eight-year-old Widelande is just one of the “silent majority” of Haiti’s children who wake up every day hungry and go to bed “hungry.” Each day is filled with long walks to find water, hours of looking for pieces of wood to sell, going to the garbage dump to try to find empty plastic bottles to sell, or a discarded piece of moldy bread or a banana peeling to eat. As a Christian, each day our hearts should be open to hear “the cry of the poor” and then, to obey what God wants us to do. Sherry

Here are some updated photos of the storm damage at Gwo Maché Mirak (Grand Miracle Market). Everyone is working very hard to get it cleaned up. Be sure to watch the video! They are back in business selling products and supporting their families again. Bobby

The storm has passed over Haiti. Our Love A Child Ministry compound has little damage, except for some trees down. There were no problems at Poul Mirak and the Agricultural Training Center. One hundred houses flooded in Miracle Village because they did not clean out their big storm water drain that we built them. Kingdom Connection Village Three is fine.

The front of the Gwo Maché Mirak (Miracle Market) was flooded and some damage occurred because the new road that is being built in front of the marketplace was blocked with all the gravel from the four main storm drainpipes. Our two huge gates were washed away, sending mud into several buildings, and two of the buildings with our Haitian vendors lost all their goods they sell. All of our children, Carlos, Ken, Kaeli, Tony and everyone are working really hard right now to repair the damage. All hands on deck! We will clean up the mud, bring in more gravel, and do some painting. Everything will be back to normal soon. Thank you for your prayers. Bobby
