This is a story of our Birthing Center from a Haitian woman’s point of view. Fabiola is a young woman who began helping us in our Malnutrition Center and Birthing Center. She has seen the lives and the babies saved in our Birthing Center and our Malnutrition Center. She just wrote this little note “from a Haitian woman’s point of view.”

In the past, we used to receive pregnant women in the same space we used to receive sick people in the old Jesus Healing Center. Still, we were always thinking of creating another area where they could feel more comfortable, compatible with pregnant women only because we all know they’re in a fragile state.

Thanks to the support of our donors, we have become a 24/7 operating Birthing Center dedicated to providing many services. It has a room for all pregnant women, and all of the rooms are comfortable. You will find a space for sonography that will allow you to see how the baby is developing and a unique laboratory room. In addition, there are several rooms for childbirth with all kinds of equipment. After these women give birth, they have a place to rest and find shoes and clothes for them or their babies, and we even have a room for people who come from far away to relax while they wait for their families.

I haven’t mentioned our pharmacy yet, where medicines that help develop the baby’s growth during all stages of pregnancy can be found. At the Love A Child Birthing Center, we have many pregnant women from all over Haiti come in for consultations or exams. Childbirth is one of the most beautiful times. When people heard that the Love A Child Birthing Center would be open, it was a joy because many of them knew of or had experienced very hard childbirth in bad conditions. Either these women died, or the baby died because they did not have the money to go to a hospital. They were forced to give birth at home without a doctor’s presence, which is one of the reasons why the baby gets sick and even loses their lives.

The benefit of the Love A Child Birthing Center is that many pregnant women do not give birth in a bad situation anymore, and our midwives teach them how to take care of themselves and their unborn babies. The center is a great salvation for all pregnant women in the country. Our sweet Haitian people are now giving birth without giving a penny.

We will not stop praising God for all the supporters he has put on our path that allow us to have such a beautiful Birthing Center, and we thank all those who God has touched their hearts. Our God will always bless you!
