How wonderful it is to “share” what we have. When I was a little girl, my family was very poor. However, I remember my mother bringing in other neighborhood children (who were poor also), and all of us sitting on the cellar steps eating whatever it was we had to eat—corn on the cob, or bread and butter… We shared. Now, we still share with other organizations in Haiti, who struggle to feed their children each month. This is Orphelinat Foyer Divin. They can feed these children “because you shared your food with them.” Thank you for sharing and God bless you! Bobby and Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 01-12-16
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.” Proverbs 3:13, 14 & 15 – Sherry and I pray each morning before we start our day for five things.
1.) The favor of God in our lives.
2.) The favor of men. God moves through people.
3.) Wisdom.
4.) Understanding.
5.) His knowledge working and moving through our lives.

I want to share five things Sherry and I pray for every day. We have prayed for these five things for at least ten years now, and have prayed early this morning, again. Here is one of them. “And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the Lord, and also with men.” 1 Samuel 2:26 – We need the favor of God and the favor of man. Oh Lord, we pray for your favor in our lives today. Let your favor be upon us. Oh Lord, we pray for the favor of men today. Tomorrow, I will give the others. May God give you favor today and every day! Bobby
Old Friends: 1-10-16 7:00 PM
This is from a good friend Joe Hurston to Bobby and Sherry:
SEEING “OLD” AND DEAR FRIENDS
No, I don’t mean that these friends are “that old,” but our friendship goes back 38 years. Bobby and Sherry Burnette of Love A Child and I definitely have history.
We first met in Haiti as “Rookie Missionaries.” We’ve got a hundred + stories of God’s Amazing Grace and His great Patience with us!
We always laugh a lot at the memories of those early days. We really thought we had it “all figured out.” Boy, did we have a lot to learn!
Bobby and Sherry also provide food to scores of missionaries in Haiti and yesterday was Barbara’s day to go pick up a beautiful load of food. Barb distributes that food to hundreds of hungry folks in our community.
“It was great seeing you guys yesterday. I chuckle every time we visit as we remember those early days and God’s AMAZING GRACE to help keep us alive!! LOVE YOU and keep on keeping on!!!” Joe
Mackenson: 1-10-16 10:00 AM
I will never forget the first time I saw Mackenson in his father’s arms. It was in the village of Covant, Haiti, (Bel Fontaine) high in the mountains. I thought Mackenson was about 14 or 15-months-old. I was shocked when I heard he was seven! Due to Kwashiorkor Malnutrition, his arms and legs were swollen and had begun to split open! We had to bring him back to our Love A Child Orphanage where he was cared for in our Jesus Healing Center. Today, with your help, we can see the fruit of our giving… Mackenson is alive and well, in school and making good grades! What a smile!! God bless you, Sherry

When I was born, two weeks later, I was taken away from my mother because they took her to an insane asylum for 21 years. A woman who did not love me raised me and she let me know I was in her way. She was deeply into fortune-tellers and witchcraft. When I turned 16-years-old, I came to the Lord and she kicked me out on the street. I was on my own and Jesus said, “I will be a mother and father unto you, I will never leave or forsake you.” Be sure to request our book, “Love is something you do.” Call the office at 239-210-6107 or order from Amazon.com. Have a blessed Sunday! Bobby
Happy Orphan Girls: 1-9-16 6:30 PM
Here are four more reasons why we are missionaries! Aren’t these little girls simply adorable? Imagine now, that they had been abandoned, or left in a mud hut after their mother had died…but God has a special plan for each of them…and not only them, but for all the rest! God bless you partners. This is just some of the “fruit” of your giving! Sherry
Food Distribution Day: 1-9-16 10:45 AM
Today is our monthly food distribution at our Kingdom Connection Food Distribution Center. Our orphan girls are waiting to serve some delicious appetizers! Many organizations have orphanages here, and are doing a great job feeding the children. Thank you Pastor Jentezen Franklin for sponsoring this huge food warehouse! Thank you Feed My Starving Children for the meals we receive each month! Thank you partners! Love is something you do! Bobby and Sherry

“For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” Hebrews 13:14 “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven…” Revelation 21:2 — I used to sing a song when I was a child that said, “This world is not my home… I’m just a passing through.” We must remember that “this” is not our home, but someday, “we will be home,” forever!
